  • If you like short stories that feature a whole new kind of horror, a blend of madness and terror, satiric and scary all at the same time, then this is the collection for you. Reworking old themes like how voyeurism, greed and corruption, lust and obsession, fear and abandonment - sometimes even ignorance - and tackling some new themes like how searching on the Internet for a lover can all have such nasty, nightmarish results. Randall Brooks invites you to take a tour. A tour of the twisted, the macabre, the psychologically deranged, erotic and perverse. Just put on your party faces, and come along…

  • “The Two Worlds of the Mind”, a homoerotic satiric psychological mystery thriller set in 1987, set in Knoxville and Jefferson City.

The basic plot is that Brent Hart, a young gay man, and George Waldo, a young straight man, and the love of Brent’s life, become ‘involved’ with each other, becoming very close friends. Along the lines, Brent sleeps with a mutual good friend of theirs, and eventually another fling of Brent’s starts to stalk the two, killing people close to them, and working his way up to killing them.

The novel is told in a very nonlinear structure, weaving back and forth between dreams, reality, daydreams, reality, and thoughts and reality…Confused? Good! LOL.

    Hope you enjoy…

  • It’s really scary how dumbed down our society is becoming, and how people anymore praise ignorance, and get defensive and poke fun at people who show signs of intelligence.

“But please, Republicans—tell me more about a Marine holding up an umbrella, the “conspiracy” in Benghazi which is based on edited emails and the IRS situation which occurred while a man appointed by George W. Bush was in charge of the IRS.

  • Just want to remind everyone that if you haven’t read anything of mine, but are wanting to, you can find all of my work on Amazon.com, including 9 new short stories available on Amazon Kindle for ONLY 99 cents each. And, for those that have read something, I sure would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes and post a short review. Doesn’t have to be more than a sentence or two, and doesn’t have to be a rave. I just like getting feedback, and a writer at my level lives or dies by word of mouth.

    Thank you!
